Line-n is a series of commissioned texts for Sion Mills Linen Museum, Co. Tyrone. by Alice Butler, as part of a project with VAI Northern Ireland called ‘New Spaces’.

The texts, which became four poems, use extracts from diaries from the family who owned Sion Mills linen mills, as well as articles and other accounts. The poems also refer to economic globalisation, mythology and ancient history. The texts were installed amongst museum works, which were also selected by the curator and artist for the duration of the exhibition.

One of the poems was also further published in Tangerine magazine Issue 7.
